The Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection for Workers (PFESP) announces a job vacancy for a period of 5 months full-time, in Ramallah office, according to the following conditions:

Conditions and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any management, accounting, sociology, engineering, or any related discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in coordinating, monitoring, and implementing projects and office work, in addition to field and community work.
  • At least one year of experience in self-employment and temporary projects, especially providing business services.
  • High skills in communication and writing project idea proposals, final project proposals, and reports in both Arabic and English.
  • Skills in coordination, teamwork and interaction with others.
  • Advanced skills in the use of various computer programs (MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel) and skills in using the Internet and research.
  • He / she has knowledge of the regulations and instructions in force in the field of procurement, tenders, and financial systems.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Participation in preparing project proposals and training in the field of self-employment and business services from idea to final project proposals.
  • Contributing to the preparation of project work plans and the associated logframe.
  • Following up on the progress of projects according to the planned timelines and within the effective performance, optimum efficiency and coordination between the service staff.
  • Contribute to monitoring the progress of projects, reporting any problems or obstacles that would impede the smooth and flexible conduct of project activities, and writing periodic and interim reports and success stories in both Arabic and English.
  • Contribute to conducting field visits to the project, meeting with partners and beneficiaries, reviewing progress made at the location, ensuring that all activities are implemented in accordance with the institution’s policies and directives, and reporting any problems or difficulties to the program director.
  • Ensure that the quality of workflow and standards for the program and institution are consistent.
  • Ensure that all technical and financial documents related to the project are archived and documented.
  • Participate in preparing and reviewing monthly working statements, financial payments, and self-employment and temporary projects.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing the necessary training programs, coordinating them, and providing full support to implement relevant activities.
  • Contribute and cooperate with the Programs and Projects Department in designing and preparing project proposals to support initiatives, competitions, and projects that support self-employment and business services.
  • Contribute to developing mechanisms of cooperation, networking, and communication with relevant business development institutions, especially national programs that seek to enhance leadership.
  • Contributing to the development of support mechanisms for the entrepreneurial and startup projects owners in terms of licensing procedures and networking with official agencies and other.
  • Contributing to the development of mechanisms that assist startup and existed companies in establishing local, national, and external partnerships.
  • Participating in developing awareness and counseling programs on the importance of small businesses and entrepreneurial projects, focusing on young graduates, as well as promoting the importance of business services and the PFESP's various products and services.
  • Contribute to submitting recommendations on developing financial portfolios, as well as participating in developing procedures for selecting beneficiaries from lending patterns.
  • Participate in reviewing and developing criteria and determinants for selecting target groups from technical services and financing, whether direct or indirect, and providing continuous feedback.
  • Participation in any committees, activities, or initiatives related to improving exports, developing marketing, raising the quality of the Palestinian product, or related to developing policies and approaches for business development services.
  • Contribute to coordination and work with all relevant institutions from the private sector, the public sector, and civil society institutions, especially the Ministry of Labor and the relevant ministries, to create a unified national platform for job seekers and entrepreneurs, in order to unify national and local efforts in the field of job creation.
  • Participate in working to solve the problems and obstacles facing the beneficiaries in the right way.
  • Participate in coordination and integration with the financial department regarding to procurement and tender processes.
  • Perform other tasks as per business requirements.
