PFESP opens a course on
On Monday morning, the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection of Workers opened a training course on "agricultural project management." It comes within the "Peace Steps" Project implemented by the Italian Land Winds Association "Vento Di Terra" in cooperation with PFESP and the Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation in Gaza Strip, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
The course, which includes ten meetings, targets twenty farmers who wish to develop their farms in Khan Yunis Governorate, southern Gaza Strip. The beneficiaries will be trained on topics related to farm management skills, development of productivity projects of economic feasibility, implementation and attention to project, and marketing of products and other related topics. The aforementioned farmers are to provide the fruits needed for gelato production for the Galatria Association, created within the project, within the framework of economic integration and high quality of production. The training, which was held at the seat of Al Quds Society for Developing Al-Mawasi in Khan Yunis, was supervised by Banan Al Hallaq and Aid Al-Farra from PFESP's Business Services Department. In general, the Peace Steps project aims to promote comprehensive and sustainable economic and social growth in Palestinian societies. In particular, the project aims, through its multiple components, to spread and promote economic practices within frameworks of social solidarity and economic integration in order to provide job opportunities and achieve sustainable, inclusive, fair economic development for youth and women, especially in marginalized Bedouin societies in Area C.
