PFESP celebrates graduating and handing out certificates for the winners of "Youth Initiatives Competitions Project"

The Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection celebrated graduating and handing out certificates for the winners of "Youth Initiatives Competitions Project" at Nablus Governorate headquarters. It's been implemented by PFESP in partnership with the Palestinian Banking Corporation; in cooperation with the employment councils in three governorates (Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Nablus and Gaza). It is a part of the "Startup Palestine program" #StartUp_Palestine; funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation AICS Gerusalemme.

The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Anan Al-Attireh, Deputy Governor of Nablus, Mr. Muhammad Musleh, a member of the Board of Directors of the PFESP and Head of Economic Development Programs of the Italian Agency, Ms. Dania Abu Al Hayat, Director of Lending and Financing at PFESP. Also, Dr. Muhammad Al-Araj, General Director of Employment at the Ministry of Labor, and Mr. Ezz Al-Tawil, Director of Lending and Financing in the Banking Corporation and Mr. Muhammad Deib, Director of the Nablus Labor Directorate, attended the ceremony.

It is worth noting that the project aims at supporting entrepreneurial projects for young people through youth competitions and providing technical support. It is through a series of trainings, specialized courses, and financial support; by providing interest-free loan to the 8 winning projects in the competitions in the Nablus governorate. This is to create sustainable collective and self-opportunities; by opening up avenues for establishing and expanding projects. This is in a way that guarantees reducing unemployment rates at the national level.
