PFESP and the Interior Ministry agree to enhance coordination between the employment institutions in Ramallah

A delegation from the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection of Workers, headed by Executive Director Ibtisam Al-Husri and a delegation from the Ministry of Interior headed by Undersecretary Major General Mohammed Mansour, agreed on the need to activate and implement the decisions of the Council of Ministers which confirmed that the Fund is the national umbrella for employment in the nation.

The two delegations stressed during their meeting in the headquarters of the Interior Ministry In Ramallah, today, the importance of coordination between all the employment institutions in the field of employment and creation of job opportunities, which have programs and interventions in this regard with the Fund to ensure the transparency and success of the work according to the national strategic vision of the Fund.
The two delegations also stressed the importance of the work of the Fund in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and the need to expand its work to serve the segment of workers and unemployed and the poor.
The fund's delegation, which included Ms. Mahdi Hamdan, Director of Public Relations and Fundraising, and Mr. Munir Shalaldeh, Director of Program Development and Coordination in the Fund, were received by Major General Mohammed Mansour, Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry and Mr. Abdul Nasser Al Sirafi, Director General of Non-Governmental Organizations and Public Affairs.

Al-Husari reviewed the Fund's vision and the objectives for which it was established, and reviewed the decisions of the Council of Ministers, which considered the Fund the national umbrella for all employment activities and create job opportunities in Palestine.

She stressed the need to coordinate all institutions that have programs and interventions in this framework with the Fund to carry out its responsibilities to coordinate all these efforts and guide it within a comprehensive national vision.


Al-Hussari said that the Fund, since the modernization of its Executive Directorate and the development of its administrative structure, seeks to coordinate with all concerned sides, especially the Interior Ministry, the General Directorate of the Non-Government Organizations and Public Affairs in this regard to activate these decisions to ensure that the Fund has the national role that entrusted to it.

Al-Husri stressed the utmost importance of the Interior Ministry in providing all that is required for coordination between institutions

For his part, Major General Mansour welcomed the attendance, stressing that the Interior Ministry is concerned with activating the mechanisms that guarantee the unification and coordination of national efforts in all fields within effective frameworks in order to achieve a tangible impact and change for the better.

In turn, Al Serifi stressed the readiness of the General Directorate of the Interior to coordinate with all institutions that work in the employment and creating job opportunities programs, in coordination with importance of coordinating with the Fund in its legal status and considerable status as a national body and an independent financial authority responsible for employment activities, establishing and supporting entrepreneurial projects and creating job opportunities.
