PFESP signs memorandums of cooperation with three universities in Gaza to serve graduates and entrepreneurship

The Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection of workers (PFESP) represented by its executive director Ibtisam Al-Husari with the presence of the director of the Gaza’s Office Eng. Mohammad Abu Zaiter and Emad Hussein the director of studies and the Bank of Projects, signed three memorandums of understanding and cooperation with three Palestinians universities in Gaza strip, namely, The Islamic University, Al- Azhar University and The University College of Applied sciences in order to achieve a fruitful cooperation in the areas of servicing the businesses sector and all areas of science and research including the post-graduate studies, scientific research, training and employing graduates and entrepreneurship in Palestine.

The agreements were signed by Ibtisam Al-Husari the executive director of PFESP as Dr. Naser Farahat the president of the Islamic University signed it, while the vice president of Academic Affairs of Al-Azhar University Sami Musleh has signed, as Dr.Refat Rostom the president of The College signed by representing The University College.

Al-Husari Said in a speech of her on the sidelines of the signing ceremony which was held at the universities headquarters that the memorandums include the cooperation in the fields of researches, master’s thesis, studies carried out in the areas of common interests, directing the master’s thesis, proposing research topics of common interests that the developing businesses sector needs, creating job opportunities and market, in addition to developing, financing and implementing common research projects and programs to serve the common goals, implementing pilot projects for entrepreneurs, specialized training, temporary and permanent employment for graduates as well as developing businesses services in the centers of unified services for businesses and employment window. 

Al-Husari stressed that the memorandums of understanding aimed at exchanging results of the scientific research including researches, master’s thesis of common interests between the two parties, and contribute to enhancing the business environment and the labor market through directing master’s thesis for the relevant disciplines as well as cooperation in the field of scientific research to develop productive sectors in addition to facilitating the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two parties and contributing in developing and adopting a special curriculum of craftsmanship training for many specializations with the participation of other partners.

Al-Husari reviewed that the role of PFESP and its objectives in the development and combating unemployment among youth and graduates in particular and the interest of the Chairman of the Management Board, Minister of labor Mamoun Abu Shahla in this regard, in addition to the governmental decisions that emphasize the role of PFESP as a national umbrella for employment.

On their part, the universities’ presidents praised the role of PFESP in supporting graduates through programs and projects implemented in the West Bank and the Strip

They expressed their willingness to work with PFESP in implementing its programs and achieving its objectives.
