PFESP submits a request to employ 20 thousand graduates in Gaza

Minister of Labor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PFESP for Employment, Dr.Maamoun Abu Shahla said that he had submitted a request to the Council of Ministers to approve a project to employ 20,000 workers and graduates temporary in the Gaza Strip at the beginning of 2018. And Abu Shahla indicated that the project aims to employ the worker or the graduates for three months to alleviate the worsening unemployment, and he said in a press release on Wednesday that the cost of the project is estimated at 60 million shekels and expressed his hope that the project will be approved before the end of this year, Abu Shahla added:"The real employment is supposed to start with the relaunching of the cycle of economic life in Gaza normally, although we started in the ministry with number of projects through employment programs such as revolving loans for small projects supported by PFESP and other programs in cooperation with a number of contacts to relief the pressure on youth.
