A delegation from the Ministry of Labor in the West Bank and Gaza visits PFESP
A delegation from the Ministry of Labor in the West Bank and Gaza Strip visited the seat of PFESP in the Gaza Strip. They met the Deputy Executive Director of PFESP, Muhammad Abu Zuaiter. They discussed with him ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to face the scourge of unemployment. The delegation included Rami Mahdawi, Director of the Ministry's Employment Department, Assistant Undersecretary Abdel Karim Daraghmeh, Abdullah Kullab, Director of Employment in the Ministry of Labor in Gaza, and Eng. Maher Abu Raya, Director of International Relations at the Ministry in Gaza. Abu Zuaiter reviewed the work of PFESP in Gaza and the large and wide area of cooperation with the Ministry of Labor. Abu Zuaiter also addressed the high unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip and the pressing need to implement urgent developmental and operational projects for unemployed, especially among the youth and graduates. Abu Zuaiter stressed that the situation of youth in the Gaza Strip is intolerable and their problem exceeds the capacity of the institution and all other institutions. Also, he addressed the youth employment project implemented by PFESP in late 2016 and stopped after six months of work due to internal differences between the financiers.
