PFESP participates in the activities of the fourth week of vocational and technical education and training
PFESP participated in the activities and opening ceremony of the vocational and technical education and training week. Its activities launched on Monday in Gaza City under the patronage of the Minister of Labor Dr. Mamoun Abu Shahla, Chairman of PFESP. It was in the presence of hundreds of representatives of ministries, different sectors, businessmen Companies, and vocational and technical training centers.
The event, organized by the Local Employment, Training and Vocational and Technical Education Council, will last for three days. During the event, the creations and skills of workers in the training and technical sectors will be presented. In a speech on behalf of the Minister of Labor, Eng. Mohamed Abu Zuaiter, Chairman of the Employment Council in the Gaza Strip and Deputy Director of PFESP, stressed the importance of event in presenting the creativity of skilled and entrepreneurs and encouraging others to take the path of work, creativity, and excellence. Abu Zuaiter stressed the importance of caring and attention to vocational training as one of the creative and future solutions to the problem of massive unemployment in Palestine. He noted that the Minister of Labor, out of his concern in this training sector, called on Arab labor ministers during their forty-fifth conference held in Cairo in recent days that each country to adopt and establish a vocational training center in Palestine. This is to raise the proportion of those enrolled in vocational education.
Abu Zuaiter pointed out that PFESP attaches great importance to financing small productive projects that contribute to alleviating the unemployment rate and increasing production and employment. He stressed that PFESP is making extraordinary efforts in this regard to recruit one billion dollars during the next three years to pump it into the market in a form of concessional loans for a group Young people. This is in compliance with the vision of the Minister of Labor and the government's strategic plan to tackle and combat the scourge of unemployment.
PFESP’s participation included educational presentations on the importance of training and vocational education. In addition to broadcasting and presenting success stories for young people who were creative, accomplished, and impressed in creating and expanding projects and making them valuable companies in society.
