PFESP and the Ministry of Labor organize a familiarization tour of

Tulkarm:

PFESP, represented by the Executive Director Mahdi Hamdan, the Ministry of Labor represented by the General Director of Employment in the Ministry Rami Mahdawi, and Shaker Al-Safadi representing the Bank of Palestine, organized a tour in Tulkarm Governorate. This is to introduce the "Your Project" program for Concessional lending. It is implemented by "PFESP" in partnership with Bank of Palestine; in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, the General Administration of Employment and the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

During the tour, meetings were organized with the institutions and activities of the governorate. A meeting was also held with His Excellency Governor Issam Abu Bakr and the employment council in the governorate, during which "Your project" program was discussed in particular.

Abu Bakr stressed the importance of launching small loans project. This is to help graduates and reduce the phenomenon of unemployment, and other projects that come in the context of the ongoing activities of the Employment Council, which has been activated at the governorate level. He stressed that it is possible for such projects to achieve great success for those in charge of them, and they become featured success stories.

Abu Bakr thanked the partners and those in charge of the project. The Ministry of Labor, Bank of Palestine, the Ministry of Finance, PFESP, the Employment Council at the governorate level, and everyone who cooperated and contributes to the success of these ideas and bringing them into operation. This helps our unemployed graduates and youth to start their private project. He called on other financing institutions, banks, companies and the private sector to provide loans for other projects.

For his part, Rami Mahdawi, General Director of Employment, emphasized that the Ministry of Labor attaches particular attention to supporting entrepreneurial youth. In addition to spreading the culture of leadership in our Palestinian society, and strengthening the culture of technical education and vocational training to create job opportunities.

Mahdawi said that the inability of the public and private sectors to absorb the increasing demand for job opportunities has forced the ministry to pay attention to and remarkably focus on partnership with institutions working in the fields of development and employment. This is to create a large area for new entrants on the labor market from graduates and others.

In a speech, Mahdi Hamdan, Director of Public Relations and Recruiting in PFESP, pointed out the importance of partnership with national institutions. It considers as a pure national partnership with distinction with the Bank of Palestine; the auspices of the Ministry of Labor - General Administration of Employment and the Ministry of Finance.

Hamdan stressed PFESP’s keenness to provide distinguished technical services to support young people who want to create or develop their own projects. He noted that it provides multiple windows to access financing; the most important of which is "Your Project" program.

Hamdan said that this effort came based on the strategic direction and vision of His Excellency Chairman of the Board of Directors and Minister of Labor Mamoun Abu Shahla. He is very interested in supporting the establishment of medium, micro and micro-enterprises to generate sustainable job opportunities.

Al-Safadi talked about Bank of Palestine's ability to lead and finance such projects with a declining interest. It contributed to providing thousands of job opportunities for youth, graduates, and the unemployed. He pointed out to the bank's experience in dealing with micro and micro-projects. He appreciated the efforts of the partners in the Ministries of Labor and Finance, PFESP, and the Employment Council in Tulkarm Governorate.
