PFESP and the Ministry of Labor organize a tour of

PFESP, represented by Director Mahdi Hamdan and the Ministry of Labor represented by the General Director of Employment Rami Mahdawi and Bank of Palestine represented by Shaker Al-Safadi, organized a tour in Nablus Governorate. This is to introduce "Your Project" program for concessional lending. It implemented by "PFESP" in cooperation with the Bank of Palestine and the Ministry of Labor, the General Administration for Employment, and the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

The tour started with a meeting with the Governor Akram al-Rajoub, and his deputy, Professor Annan al-Atirah; in the presence of the activities of the governorate. "Your Project" program and its positive impact on economic development and combating the problem of unemployment were particularly discussed.

In a speech, Governor Rajoub stressed the importance of small projects in supporting the national economy, alleviating unemployment, and developing self-skills for citizens and those interested.

He reviewed the reality of employment and workers in Nablus governorate. He expressed his readiness to provide everything necessary to help graduates and those wishing to obtain loans to establish micro and micro-enterprises.

In turn, Al-Atirah emphasized the big role played by PFESP in combating unemployment and stimulating the establishment of small projects through the various projects implemented by PFESP in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Al-Atirah expressed her confidence in the ability of these projects implemented by PFESP to alleviate pervasive unemployment rates among graduates and the young generation, as well as its positive impact on the national economy.

Al-Atirah reviewed the great impact of small projects in empowering and promoting the national economy, increasing exports, and reducing imports.

For his part, Mahdawi stressed that the Ministry of Labor pays special attention to supporting entrepreneurial youth and spreading the culture of leadership in our Palestinian society. In addition to promoting the culture of technical education and vocational training to create job opportunities.

Mahdawi said that the inability of the public and private sectors to absorb the increasing demand for job opportunities has prompted the ministry to pay attention to and remarkably focus on partnership with institutions working in the fields of development and employment. This is to create a large space for newcomers on the labor market from graduates and others.

In a speech, Mahdi Hamdan, Executive Director of PFESP, pointed out the necessity of partnership with national institutions. It considers as a perfectly national partnership with the Bank of Palestine, the auspices of the Ministry of Labor - General Administration of Employment, and the Ministry of Finance.

Hamdan thanked the Governor Rajoub and his deputy, Annan Al-Atirah for the great interest in PFESP's programs and projects.

Hamdan said that this effort came under the guidance and vision of His Excellency Chairman of PFESP and Minister of Labor Mamoun Abu Shahla. He is very interested in supporting the establishment of small, micro and medium enterprises to generate sustainable job opportunities.

Al-Safadi talked about the Bank of Palestine’s ability to lead and finance such projects with a declining interest, which contributed to providing thousands of job opportunities for youth, graduates, and the unemployed. He points to the bank’s experience in dealing with micro and micro-projects. He appreciates the efforts of partners in the ministries of labor and finance, PFESP, and the governor of Nablus.
