PFESP implements field visits to the beneficiaries of Centers of the Ministry of Social Development graduate’s employment project

Ramallah:

PFESP implemented the first round of field visits for the beneficiaries of the development project in the northern governorates.

The visits included monitoring the progress of the project, checking up the training sites and workshops, and looking closely at them. Especially with regard to the implementation of occupational safety and health conditions, and stressing to operators the need of compliance with the labor law with the trainees.

During the visits, the monthly working statements were distributed to the trainees, and notes were recorded on their professional performance in their various specializations. Especially as they are graduates of the vocational rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Social Development. Through the project, they receive practical training for several specialties, including carpentry, blacksmithing, aluminum and auto-body repair. In addition to cosmetic arts, fashion design, and sewing.

The visits witnessed holding meetings with a number of operators and discussing the project goals and objectives in refining the experience of these trainees. This is to give them the opportunity to more deepening into the details of the profession in a practical way and getting to know its tools. The trainee after the end of the project can become able to work as a professional in his profession. So. he can get a permanent job opportunity, or he can open his own business.

It is mentioned that the project is implemented by PFESP. It is funded by the Ministry of Social Development and in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor - General Administration of Employment, and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It aims to integrate and empower graduates of social centers in the Palestinian labor market, reduce unemployment among their them, and help them learn about the requirements and needs of the labor market.
