Hebron: PFESP and the Hebron Employment Directorate implement a field visit for development project trainees

PFESP, represented by PFESP Coordinator Heba Yassin, in cooperation with the Hebron Labor Directorate and the Ministry of Social Development, held an inspection tour for the development project trainees in Dura, Al Dhahiriyah, Beit Ummar and Bani Naim in the Hebron Governorate.

The delegation inspected the progress of the project’s work implemented by PFESP. It is funded by the Ministry of Social Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce at work sites where students train. Amid a welcome there from employers and officials who stressed the importance of implementing the labor law. The head of the Local Business Department says In the Hebron Labor Directorate, Jawad Zablah, in a speech during which he stressed the need to observe the conditions of occupational safety and health at work sites.

The visit also included holding meetings with a number of operators, where their views were heard on the practical level of students and the development of their professional performance. It was also extensively talked about the goals and objectives of the project, which aims to sharpen the experience of these trainees and deepen into the details of the profession and its tools in a practical way. So, after the end of the project, the trainee should be able to work as a professional in his profession. This would enable him to obtain a permanent job opportunity or be able to open his own project.

Abdul Majeed Nofal, Head of the Employment Department of the Youth Center of the Ministry of Social Development in the Hebron Governorate, Facilitator of vocational training Nael Al-Douda, and Linda Qunaibi from Halhoul Labor Office participated in the visit.

The project aims at integrating and empowering graduates of social centers in the Palestinian labor market. In addition to reducing unemployment among them, and helping them learn about the requirements and needs of the labor market.
