PFESP participates in a workshop on economic empowerment programs for marginalized groups, organized by An-Najah University: Nablus
Hamdan reviewed "PFESP" programs and the effort exerted to support self-employment and the establishment and development of small and micro enterprises. This is in the light of the limited ability of the public and private sectors to provide job opportunities and absorb the increasing number of graduates.
In a speech during the workshop, Hamdan emphasized the importance of strategic partnership with the Ministry of Social Development. He stressed the role of PFESP as the arm of employment and a national auspice for employment and job creation.
Hamdan addressed the major challenges created by the American-Israeli blockade. In addition to the importance of dedicating partnership and organizing interventions aimed at empowering and moving towards the most marginalized groups.
He said that PFESP make great efforts to alleviate the aggravated unemployment through the implementation of many operational and developmental projects.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Dawood Al-Deek, referred to the structural change in the budget of the Ministry of Development and focus on increasing development expenditures and the economic empowerment program.
Al-Deek also stressed the importance of consolidating the concept of social protection and adopting multidimensional poverty indicators. They include social marginalization and lack of access to education, health, and other determinants.
