PFESP honors the Minister of Women Affairs Dr. Amal Hamad

PFESP, represented by His Excellency the Chairman and Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish and the Executive Director Mahdi Hamdan, honored the Minister of Women Affairs Amal Hamad. They presented her an appreciation shield on the efforts she exerts to empower Palestinian women.

The Minister Abu Jaish praised the role of the Minister Hamad in developing and promoting PFESP during her time on the board of directors.

During a meeting attended by the Executive Director Mahdi Hamdan in the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Abu Jaish discussed with the Minister Hamad mechanisms for empowering women in the labor market.

Abu Jaish emphasized the Ministry of Labor's readiness to fully cooperate with the Ministry of Women's Affairs. It is on the basis of integration in work and a joint effort to support and empower women in the labor market, especially in the informal sector.

For her part, Hamad stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Labor. It is to allow women to participate in the Palestinian labor market, and to achieve social justice for women in all sectors.

Hamad stressed the need to review and amend the Palestinian Labor Law to include women working in a number of sectors, such as kindergarten, agriculture, and domestic work. So that the law includes social protection for this group of women. She noted that workshops will be held to determine the needs and priorities of women.
