PFESP participates in the Scientific Research and Creativity Conference organized by the University of Palestine
Tuesday, a delegation from PFESP, headed by Executive Director Mahdi Hamdan, participated in the scientific research and creativity conference. It organized by the University of Palestine and the Supreme Council for Creativity and Excellence in the Gaza Strip.
Hamdan delivered his speech at the opening ceremony of the conference. He stressed the need to incubate the distinguished and creative people and provide support and care to them.
Hamdan said that the conference reflects the organizers sense of national responsibility towards knowledge and scientific research and improving and developing education parallel to developed countries. They also contribute to implementing the national strategy and the guidance of leadership and government in this field that needs the unified efforts of all institutions.
He stressed PFESP's commitment to promoting and supporting the creativity concept, excellence, and scientific research in terms of national and professional duty. He pointed out that PFESP implemented and supported pilot projects in all governorates, and funded related conferences and events.
He noted that PFESP has made great strides in the field of promoting this culture through a specialized project. It has been implemented by dozens of NGOs, youth centers, universities, schools, institutes, and associations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It has targeted thousands of students, graduates and interested people.
He said that PFESP believes that enhancing creativity is an important tool to confront the crisis of high unemployment in Palestine. It has reached more than 30%, and more than 50% in the Gaza Strip in particular. The percentage among graduates exceeded 60%.
He emphasized PFESP's readiness to support all creative and pilot ideas and initiatives, whether at the individual or institutional level. From the premise that the importance of creativity is an important civilized requirement and a necessity of construction and development. It is an evidence of the greatness of the people and its various institutions, as well as the engine for any scientific, intellectual, or technical progress. It is according to the guidance of President Mahmoud Abbas, the aspirations of the head government Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh, and the vision of His Excellency the Chairman of PFESP and Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish.
