PFESP hosts the periodic meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Work for Money Project
PFESP, located in Ramallah, hosted the periodic meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Work for Money Project in Gaza; it funded by the World Bank. It is to evaluate the requests of the institutions that need to benefit from the project, which will implement employment programs for unemployed youth in the health and education sectors.
The meeting was attended by members of the committee, Leila Gharib, Director General of International Relations at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Samer Salama, Chairman and Deputy Minister of Labor, Mahdi Hamdan, Executive Director of PFESP, Ayman Sawalha, Advisor of the Social Development Ministry, and Ghassan Kasabra, Director General of the Center for the Development of Community Institutions.
Hamdan said that the projects will be implemented at the end of next August. More than 4,500 young men and women are expected to be employed.
Hamdan emphasized that the steering committee make great efforts to implement the project to alleviate the burden of citizens in the Gaza Strip. This is in accordance with the government guidance headed by Dr. Mohammed Shtayyeh.
