PFESP and PECDAR agree to exchange information and enhance cooperation prospects

Mahdi Hamdan, Executive Director of the Palestinian Fund, and Chairman of the Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction "PECDAR", Mohamed Abu Awad, agreed to exchange information and support the capabilities of the Fund.

Sunday, in Ramallah, Hamdan and Abu Awad during a meeting at the "PECDAR", also agreed to exchange visits and meetings at all levels during the next stage to confront the enormous challenges facing the country after the intensification of financial blockade imposed by the United States and the occupation.

The meeting addressed ways to discuss cooperation in support of the graduates, unemployed, and youth groups of women. In addition to joint cooperation in all areas that achieve common goals, support productive projects, and increase employment.

In a speech at the beginning of the meeting, Hamdan stressed the historical and pioneering role of PECDAR in building the country since the establishment of the National Authority.

Hamdan said that, PECDAR through its projects, left a footprint in every street, village, camp and city. He stresses that PFESP aspires strongly to benefit from its long experience in implementing various projects.

Hamdan said that the Chairman of the Fund’s and Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish attaches a paramount importance to deepening and promoting cooperation between the Fund and the partners. He stresses that the meeting was directed by him to open relations with national institutions that contribute effectively to achieving economic growth and support productive projects in multiple sectors.

Hamdan reviewed the fields of the Fund's work and the most prominent programs and projects that it is implementing in the various governorates of the country, from Jenin in the north to Rafah in the south. Hamdan expected that the coming period will witness the implementation of more developmental and operational projects.

For his part, Abu Awad expressed his willingness to cooperate with PFESP in the areas of employment and leadership. Abu Awad praised the Fund's experience in creating job opportunities and encouraging development through various projects in this framework. Abu Awad said that the coming period will witness more cooperation between PFESP and PECDAR.

On the Fund's side, the meeting was attended by the Director of Lending and Finance, Dania Abu Al-Hayat, and the Director of Training Department, Kholoud Matari, on PECDAR's side.
