PFESP and the Hebron Chamber of Commerce sign a memorandum of understanding to enhance employment and economic empowerment

PFESP represented by the Chairman of PFESP His Excellency Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish and the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented by its President Abdo Idris signed a memorandum of understanding. It is for cooperation in the field of employment and economic empowerment, especially for marginalized groups. This was Tuesday during a visit by Abu Jaish accompanied by the Executive Director of PFESP Mahdi Hamdan and staff from the Ministry and PFESP to the seat of the Hebron Chamber of Commerce.

Abu Jaish and the Chamber of Commerce staff agreed to enhance cooperation with PFESP to serve sustainable economic development.

Abu Jaish began the encounter by emphasizing the importance of the role of the chambers of commerce in raising and supporting the national economy. He stresses his readiness to provide all necessary services to facilitate the work of the chambers of commerce.

Abu Jaish praised the experience of the Hebron Chamber as a title for the economy in its various sectors at the national level. He stresses that the government without the private sector cannot cope with the suffocating financial crisis that is plaguing it.

He pointed out that his ministry will convert the professional center of Halhoul as soon as possible to a university college in order to provide the local market with qualified and trained manpower. He considers that the memorandum of understanding that he signed with the Chamber of Commerce has great importance in alleviating the unemployment rate in society.

Abu Jaish reviewed the work of PFESP and its implemented projects regarding development and employment in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They have expanded significantly in recent months.

For his part, Idris welcomed the guest delegation. He appreciates the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the construction of an alternative road to the Valley of Fire. He considers it a victory for the Palestinian people.

Idris said that the private sector is looking towards the future to achieve sustainable development in cooperation with the government. At the same time, he praises the government's decision regarding considering Jammrurah region a special industrial zone. This is because it has positive impact on the Palestinian national industry.

Idris stressed the importance of cooperation with the Fund. He confirmed that the Hebron Governorate Chamber is open to enhancing the services it provides for graduates, youth and job seekers, especially those with entrepreneurial ideas.

He said that the memo will enhance providing support services for businesses and training, consulting, administrative and legal services for pilot initiatives. This will enhance the culture of production, create job opportunities, and alleviate the rate of community unemployment.
